Sarah Harris
She started the swim school at Linden Lodge School in 1993 and it quickly became the fastest growing swim school in London. In 1994, Sarah became an ASA Tutor & was appointed the in-house tutor at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre. Sarah holds the ASA Advanced Swim Teacher & ASA Level 2 Swim Teacher qualifcation. Rick Johnstone A trained PE Teacher, Rick specialised in Primary School PE and Games teaching, and during the 1980’s and early ’90’s was extensively involved in delivering inset courses on this topic to primary teachers. As an Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) Principal Tutor, he has also been extensively involved in the development of various ASA initiatives since 1990, including the full ASA Teacher Education Programme, the BT National Curriculum Training Programme (for which he is also a tutor), and most recently the National Plan for Teaching Swimming, for which he is a trainer, and the ASA ‘Aquamark’ quality assurance scheme for swim programmes, for which he is also an assessor. In 2003, Rick was invited to participate in the ASA ‘Swim 21’ development forum at Leeds, for North-East Counties Swimming Development Officers and North West SDO’s, where it was felt his in-depth Aquamark knowledge would be of positive benefit. Rick is one of a select group of senior ASA staff who are invited to train tutors nationally. He has delivered literally hundreds of teacher-training sessions to both swimming and primary school teachers, covering a range of topics, both for numerous local authorities and private organisations. Rick has been a guest speaker at the Northern Independent Schools PE Conference and also at the ASA National Tutor’s Conference. Apart from his work with the swim school, Rick is very actively involved as a presenter and trainer, delivering education and learning-related topics, as well as dealing with broader staff professional development and personal performance enhancement issues, with both local authorities and private organisations. During 2004, as the swimming consultant to leisure management specialists QLM (Quality Leisure Management) Rick was a key strategist in the 3-person team appointed by Hartlepool Borough Council to develop a long-term integrated swim strategy for Hartlepool. He was also involved in the production of the ASA Swimming Skills DVD. In 2005, in-depth Programme Enhancement Initiatives for Chorley, Lincoln and St Helens Councils have been undertaken by Rick, and in spring 2005, he became involved with the development of the new United Kingdom Coaching Certificate and the updated ASA National Curriculum Training Programme for Primary Teachers. Rick holds the ASA Advanced Swim Teacher & ASA Level 2 Swim Teacher qualification.
Lee (Manchester, Chester & Sandbach) 'Captain' Lee joined the swim school in 2000, and is the swim school Team Manager. Lee holds the ASA Level 2 Swim Teacher qualification. Dave (Chester) 'Captain' Dave joined the swim school in 2000. Dave holds the ASA Level 2 Swim Teacher qualification. Dan (Manchester & Sandbach) Dan joined the swim school in 2007. He holds the ASA Level 2 Swim Teacher qualification. Kwok (London) Kwok joined 'the sarah harris school of swimming' in 2008. He holds the ASA Level 2 Swim Teacher qualification. Ganisam (London) Ganisam joined 'the sarah harris school of swimming in 2008. He holds the ASA Level 2 Swim Teacher qualification. Josie (London) Josie joined the 'sarah harris school of swimming' in 2008. She holds the ASA Level 2 Swim Teacher qualification. Sacha (London) Sacha joined 'the sarah harris school of swimming' in 2008. She holds the ASA Level 2 Swim Teacher qualification. Marco (London) Marco joined the swim school in 2008.
